Instructions
to students taking the Magistrale 1 September 2020 lettorato exam.
You need to
show proof of enrolment on Infostud by name not just matriculation number
before the oral exam can begin. You should raise your smartphone to the camera
on your device and hold the phone without moving it so we can clearly read the
Infostud page. Additionally, you need to show proof of identity by holding up a
document with your photo and name clearly visible.
Please
ensure that you have a stable internet connection on the day of the exam. Be
punctual and keep your microphone and video turned off until instructed
otherwise.

MAGISTRALE 1 SEPTEMBER
EXAM LETTORATO UPDATED
Magistrale 1
September Exam for academic years 2019-2020 or earlier.
THE EXAM
WILL TAKE THE FORMAT OF AN ORAL EXAM AS PER JUNE. STUDENTS WILL DO THE
ORAL IN PAIRS AND RECEIVE AN ARTICLE TO READ APPROXIMATELY 10-12 MINUTES BEFORE
THEIR ORAL BEGINS.
The exam
will begin with a short summary of part of the article followed by
comprehension and lexical/grammatical exercises.
The stated
level of the first year Magistrale 1 exam is C1. As such those taking part need
to display a range of accuracy and complexity in their speaking, not merely
communication skills. Phonological and lexical ability will be tested in
addition to comprehension.
Please note
the following:
(1) You
must have a computer, tablet, or smart phone with a reliable internet
connection and a functioning camera + microphone. The audio on your device must
also work properly, so you can hear the examining lecturer and the other
student.
(2) The
oral exam will be conducted on Google meet. Make sure you download the app.
(3) Have
your personal identification with your NAME AND PHOTO and proof of enrollment
in the Magistrale programme ready to show at the start of your exam on Webex.
The exam cannot begin until this has been done.
(4) Please
use your institutional email for all stages of the process.
